Sprague-Dawley Fluorescent Brain Atlas
Using confocal microscopy, fluorescent staining, and Python to image whole Sprague-Dawley brains and create a universal fluorescent atlas.
I am developing a Python package, ifmodels (https://github.com/hhelmbre/ifmodels) that will create 3D models of sectioned fluorescent neural stains.

The overall aim is to create a universal fluorescent atlas of the Sprague-Dawley rat brain.
​
Our long-term goal is to be able to register fluorescent images into a 3D model and develop ways to directly compare the model to other imaging methods such as MRI.
PEG Density Effects on Diffusion and Cell Uptake
Using confocal microscopy, fluorescent staining, H-NMR, and DLS we aim to study the trade-offs between PEG density, diffusion, and cell uptake within the brain.
